Pregnant women should also avoid staying in a certain position for long periods of time like sitting or standing for a very long time to reduce pressure on the veins and avoid possible swelling. If possible, take short walks from time to time to avoid it during pregnancy.

Since pregnant woman cannot take any drugs or medicines especially during delicate conditions, pregnant women suffering from it should use natural methods to ease or relieve pain and discomfort caused by hemorrhoids. If already suffering from hemorrhoids during pregnancy, simple treatments like taking sitz bath can be done. This is usually done by sitting in a warm bath. If sitting is already uncomfortable, the person can try squatting.

Another natural treatment is applying ice every now and then in the affected area to reduce inflammation and relieve pain. It is also important to have a proper technique in cleaning the anus after bowel movement like using soft and wet tissues in wiping the anus and doing it carefully to avoid further irritation and swelling of the hemorrhoids.
